Ready2Read Bootcamp is designed to increase letter recognition, sight words, and vocabulary using art, crafts and small tasks to build fluency. This program is intended for students in grades K-3 with their guardian. East Cleveland Public Library 4:00 pm: Academic Screening – Barriers to learning without support may impact literacy. Licensed school-based psychologists will be available to set-up one-on-one academic testing assessments to screen for dyslexia, ADHD, language or auditory barriers, etc. For children in any grade level up to 12th grade. This event is designed for families with children in grades K-8 with their guardians. Shaker Heights Library 1:00 pm: "Super" Readers – Join us as we use reading to explore character traits of superheroes and villains of Marvel and DC. Our "Super" Readers program will focus on increasing vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Participants will explore individual character traits, create their own superhero story, and more!
