September 10, 2024(4 events) 3:30 pm: Learn to Fish with The Fishing Foundation – The Fishing Foundation will provide a thrilling informational talk that includes everything kids need to know to learn how to fish! Attendees will receive a copy of Learn to Fish: A Step-by-Step Guide for Beginning Anglers. Space is limited and this program is geared toward student in grades 3-5. Shaker Heights Library 4:00 pm: "Super" Readers – Join us as we use reading to explore character traits of superheroes and villains of Marvel and DC. Our "Super" Readers program will focus on increasing vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Participants will explore individual character traits, create their own superhero story, and more! Cleveland Public Library - Sterling 4:00 pm: Academic Screening – Barriers to learning without support may impact literacy. Licensed school-based psychologists will be available to set-up one-on-one academic testing assessments to screen for dyslexia, ADHD, language or auditory barriers, etc. For children in any grade level up to 12th grade. Cleveland Public Library - Harvard-Lee 4:00 pm: Youthbiz Academy – Are you interested in starting a small business? Do you have a skill or talent that can be monetized? Join us for YouthBiz Academy where you will learn to create a logo, write an elevator pitch, and create small business products. For students in 7th-12th grades.
